AfterDeath

Using AfterDeath

Terms of Service

Effective 1 September 2026

These terms set expectations for families, funeral directors and other partners using the AfterDeath platform.

1. Using AfterDeath

You must provide accurate information, keep account access secure and use the platform lawfully and respectfully. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

2. Platform role

AfterDeath helps users discover information and connect with funeral directors and other providers. Unless explicitly stated, AfterDeath is not the funeral service provider and does not control a provider’s availability, performance or final price.

3. Listings, prices and reviews

Listings and indicative prices may change. Confirm availability, inclusions, GST, venue costs, government fees and cancellation terms directly with the provider. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences and may be moderated for safety and integrity.

4. Memorial and user content

You retain responsibility for content you submit and confirm that you have the rights and family authority needed to share it. You grant AfterDeath permission to host and display that content for the service you selected.

5. Payments and third-party services

Additional payment terms may apply when paid services launch. Third-party providers may have separate terms and privacy policies. Never send payment credentials through an ordinary enquiry or memorial message.

6. Prohibited conduct

Do not impersonate others, publish unlawful or harmful content, interfere with security, scrape the service without permission, manipulate reviews or use personal information for unsolicited marketing.

7. Account restriction and deletion

We may restrict content or accounts to protect users, comply with law or enforce these terms. You may request account deletion, subject to records that must be retained for legal, safety or transaction purposes.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The platform is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, AfterDeath is not responsible for independent provider acts, indirect losses or decisions made solely from general platform information.

9. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms as services change. The production version should state the governing law, dispute process and contracting company details. Questions can be submitted through the contact page.

These prototype terms require legal review before launch and must be updated with the final company entity, payment model, vendors and dispute provisions.
